Since I’ve been designing alone, Showit has quickly become one of the most popular website builders globally, especially amongst the online creative entrepreneurship community!
I personally use Showit every single day in my design business. I am proud to even have my own Showit website template shop for entrepreneurs ready to stand up and really STAND OUT in their businesses.
So why do I use Showit? Why is it so awesome? Need some tips for getting started? In this post, I’ll tell you about some of my favorite website design tips and how to really maximize Showit for your own business!
One of the most significant blocks between creatives and their dream website is the need to know how to code to really get the visual look you’re going for. The best part about Showit is that you don’t need to know how to code AT ALL! Of course, you still can if you’d like to, but you can create a beautiful custom website without a single line of custom code.
It’s rare to find a website builder that makes it as easy and straightforward as Showit does to create a beautiful custom website from even a blank white canvas!
When they say that Showit is as simple as dragging and dropping, they weren’t lying! It’s really that simple to customize your design.
Not only do they have a full video library of tutorials, but Showit is just plain intuitive and straightforward to learn.
It’s literally as simple as dragging and dropping! Showit makes it that simple. You can also duplicate or copy elements or canvases you like from one page to another with a simple click.
Have fun and explore! Anything you don’t like the look of, you can simply ‘undo’ with a click.
Just remember to only hit ‘Publish’ when you’re ready for the world to see your changes!
Many creative entrepreneurs are in an almost constant launching state, adding new offers to their service menus. This is awesome because it means you’re attuned to your audience and continually evolving your business and message accordingly. But, it CAN mean for alot of website updates. Luckily, Showit makes this simple. You can easily log on, make your quick changes, publish, and live again before you know it!
Simple changes are really just that… simple.
Blogging is an incredible way to increase your chances of ranking for keywords. It’s actually a best practice for Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Showit partners with WordPress for blogging, which is one of the stronger blogs from an SEO standpoint!
Ready to expand your website and add a blog? Showit allows you to grow with them! You can start with or without a blog and easily add one down the line if need be.

One of the things I love most about Showit is their rockstar support team. I was thinking about this the other day, and the Showit support is so incredible that I honestly take it for granted. I cannot think of a single time where I’ve had an issue that wasn’t resolved within a couple of hours.
Even on the day I launched my site when I had a small technical issue, I knew I didn’t have to worry, and the support team had me back up and running before I even knew it!
Showit makes it simple and easy to design both mobile and desktop versions of your website simultaneously on the same screen. This isn’t necessarily a given – trust me, I’ve tried on other builders!
With Showit, you can also easily design a streamlined mobile version and hide elements visible on the desktop, but that may be too much for the mobile site. It’s so simple.
The duplicate function is one of my favorites! Sometimes if I design a canvas I really love and adore, I’ll duplicate it for other pages on the same website to have a consistent design to work off of.
This can be really handy too, as you build out future pages down the line that you want to ensure have the same look and feel as the rest of your website.
Showit was created for photographers, so it’s a highly visual platform that really speaks to the creative soul. It’s meant to show off your work in a visual way, so don’t be afraid to use some flair!
This is why I make my templates for Showit – ultimate creative freedom! (Templates are also a great way for you to launch your site without breaking the bank!)
Showit’s media library allows you to keep all your collateral streamlined and organized in one central place. You can even add specific folders to keep everything clear!
Inside your media library, you can also take care of naming your images and adding Alt Text for SEO purposes, all in one central place!
Want to add a sub-brand within your empire? No problem. With Showit, you can have subdomains without it costing anything more.
Showit says: “Showit provides a 50% discount for each additional website, which makes it more affordable to manage multiple brands on the same platform. An additional perk of using Showit is being able to easily create Plus Sites that can be used for things like private pricing pages. These sites can even have a different design than your primary website, and can be managed under one account.”
